Las secuencias sinorog{acute}enicas en los depocentros Horqueta, Pincheira y Ventana, alcanzan los 1.200 metros de espesor con dep{acute}ositos de naturaleza volc{acute}anica, volcanicl{acute}astica, epicl{acute}astica, y en menor medida fluvial a lacustre, representados en las unidades litoestratigr{acute}aficas Formaci{acute}on Molle, Agua de la Piedra, Butal{acute}o, Loma Fiera, Pincheira, Bram{acute}on y Coyocho. La evoluci{acute}on tect{acute}onica en los depocentros sinorog{acute}enicos de antepa{acute}is en funci{acute}on de la cronoestratigraf{acute}ia, geoqu{acute}imica y an{acute}alisis de litofacies permite reconocer: (1) Estado inicial de cuenca de antepa{acute}is durante el Mioceno inferior. (2) Estado de depocentro de cu{tilde}na frontal en el Mioceno medio. (3) La instalaci{acute}on de un arco volc{acute}anico local en el Mioceno superior y (4) Estado de cuenca de piggy-back durante el Mioceno superior a Plioceno. Los factores de control corresponden a la migraci{acute}on de la faja plegada y corrida de Malarg{uml}ue con un estilo de deformaci{acute}on mixto hacia el antepa{acute}is, en un proceso de horizontalizaci{acute}on de la placa subducida. The foothills of the cordillera Principal at its southern end (35{circ} -36{circ} LS) preserved synorogenic deposits and growth strata in the syntectonic foreland basins of Horqueta, Pincheira and Ventana which recorded the Neogene to Pleistocene kinematics of the fold and thrust belt of Malarg{uml}ue. Synorogenic successions in these basins reach a thickness of 1.500 m and there are filled mainly with volcanic, volcaniclastic and epiclastic deposits and subordinately fluvial and lake systems. Lithostratigraphic units called Molle, Agua de la Piedra, Butal{acute}o, Pincheira, Bram{acute}on and Coyocho formations comprise these syntectonic sequences. Evolution of the foreland synorogenic basins based on the cronostratigraphic, geochemical and litofacies analysis provide recognition of different stages: (1) Initial foreland basin in the early Miocene. (2) Stage of wedge-top basin for the middle Miocene. (3) Establishment of local volcanic arc in the upper Miocene and (4) Stage of piggy-back basin between upper Miocene and Pliocene. The control factors are the normal propagation of the Malarg{uml}ue fold and thrust belt toward the foreland with a hybrid structural style with basement structures transferring shortening to the sedimentary cover and the tectonic setting associated with a compressive regime during the shallowing of the subduction zone. |
