Luigi Ferrajoli

Luigi Ferrajoli (born Florence, Italy, August 6, 1940) is an Italian jurist, a disciple of Norberto Bobbio. He is one of the leading theorists of Garantism (legal theory) (''garantismo jurídico''), a theory he initially developed within the field of criminal law but which he regards as a general paradigm applicable to the protection of all fundamental rights.
