Asa Cristina Laurell
Asa Cristina Laurell (born 20 December 1943) is a Swedish-born Mexican sociologist and public health scholar. She is recognized as a leading figure in the Latin American social medicine movement and has held senior positions in the Mexican government, including serving as the Secretary of Health for Mexico City and the Federal Undersecretary of Integration and Development.
